Finna play act III of slay the spire's board game adaptation with Mike tonight. Looking forward to it very much, although I'm not sure we'll win.
Erica is doing great. She's been waving really well lately, and also gives high fives now. She's continuing to develop her walking skills, and is making more complicated sounds and mimicking words more accurately. Nate swears she said "I love you" back at him yesterday. Hit the 'v' and everything. I am appropriately jealous.
I have been reading lately. I don't remember if I mentioned. Robin Hobb's Farseer Trilogy. I ate up the first two in four days. Trying to pace myself a bit for the last one, mostly so my husband can't accuse me of the hyper focusing I'm definitely not guilty of every single time I read a book. <_< Then there's another uh... three? More trilogies in the setting as a whole. Dunno how far I'll get into it. Her writing is excellent, truly excellent, but a bit heavy. Pacing myself will probably be best for my emotional processing.
Pretty soon we'll be staying at the in-laws again while Ken goes to get his medical treatment. It'll be somewhere around nine days for me this time, maybe slightly less. I'm much less nervous about this trip. Nate worked really hard to get the office over there cleaned up a fair bit, and we bought baby proofing supplies, so we can let her play in a bigger space more freely. We just have to get the baby proofing in place and finish clearing a couple of shelves for that. Otherwise, I just (please god) will have less going on in conjunction with this trip overall, and that makes it so much less daunting. Grateful for that.
