For class we were told to read the brilliant and scathing poem "Who Said It Was Simple" by Audre Lorde and then we were given TEN MINUTES to write a poem or short story response to what we thought it was about.
My blood pressure fucking skyrocketed. It has been more than ten minutes and I am still marveling at this poem. I wrote nothing. I tried, I really did. But I was too busy reeling emotionally. This teacher is insane. Ten minutes???
I'm gonna spend the next hour tryna chill the hell out before going to sleep. Get that bp down ukno. We'll see how it goes.
