Erica and I went to a cafe with Mike and ate delicious food. Praise be bagel and mousse cake.
Had an encounter with another mom pushing a double decker stroller. Her kid threw her cookie on the floor and she didn't see. I didn't wanna leave Erica (read: I'm lazy) so instead of getting up to grab it for her or tell her nicely I just shamelessly yelled across the room "hey your kid dropped her cookie" and this mother looked at me so gratefully, said thank you, and then also shamelessly picked up the cookie from the cafe floor and said "do you still want this" to her kid, holding it out. The relatability I felt in that moment, dude. Unreal. Her adidas were dope, too. I told her so.
We were worn out by the time Nate got home so I took a nap and then we just kinda chilled for the rest of the night. Erica was the cutest in the vest her grammie made for her. We were silly, horsing around together, and I revelled in her giggles and squeals... Her joy makes the most beautiful sounds in the world. I put my head in her lap and she put her hand on it gently for a while before smacking it repeatedly. It felt appropriate.
Listened to friends game while I drank decaf and tried to slay a spire. All in all, a good day.
