What I'm tracking right now
- Skincare regimen (cuz it makes me feel great)
- Exercise regimen (a set of specific exercises to correct the herniated disc in my spine and help manage the sciatica from it)
- Ten minutes of music practice (either playing guitar, which I already can do, or learning to read music/play piano, which is something Nate and I both want to do to make music a bigger part of Erica's childhood)
- Ten minutes of book writing or editing (a joint goal with my pops!)
- Ten minutes of language practice or completing all of my duolingo daily quests, whichever takes longer (gotta keep up that 900 day streak bruh)
Completed Quests
Previously tracked quests that I feel are now successfully formed habits. I'm listing these because some of them are incredibly basic and I want people to see that journey and be empowered to keep at their own, no matter how small their steps are. This is a years long journey that started with the most basic of mental health needs, and will never end. I'm missing some, it's changed off and on, some pieces have moved back and forth between the two lists... that's life.
- Remind myself that I want to be alive, and why, once a day (this really started as "every time I think I want to die, think no I don't immediately after. Yes, really. We can change. Now this one is such a success, I don't even have to do it consciously anymore. I'm just happy to be alive, all the time.)
- Brush my teeth once a day (yes, I really had to make this a daily goal and I didn't even meet it consistently for a long time at first, this was years ago but still important)
- Take my mental health medication
- Take a daily multivitamin
- Eat two meals
- Eat three meals
- Drink at least one glass of water
- Complete one duolingo lesson
- Do one creative thing, any craft or art that scratches the itch
- Journal even just one or two sentences
